Disco truffles – recipe

Hey everybody!
First of all, happy New Year! I wish you all the best for 2017. Even if you’ve overindulged a bit during the holidays, I hope you have a bit of space left for some confectionery.
And who said you couldn’t polish a truffle? Well, nobody actually…but with this super simple recipe for disco truffles you can add, in no time, a bit of sparkle to your dinner parties. And when I say super simple, I actually mean extra super simple. All you need is three ingredients: Oreo biscuits, cream cheese, and edible glitter powder that I bought online. You’ll also need your best hand rolling moves.

To make 24 disco truffles, you need…

Disco truffles – recipe

Prep time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 60 minutes

Serves: 24 truffles

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 packet of Oreo biscuits (154 g)
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • Some edible glitter

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a blender, combine together the biscuits and cream cheese until it forms a homogenous ball.
  2. With cold hands, take a little bit of the mixture and roll between the palms of your hands and place the truffle on a plate. Repeat for the 23 other truffles.
  3. Leave to cool in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Once cool, place a little bit of edible glitter on the palm of your hand and roll each truffle in the glitter. Add more glitter as you see fit. You can tell from my hand that I used a lot of glitter...
  5. And, hey presto, you're done!
